All Northwest: Celebrating Music by Northwest Composers
Our season finale celebrates the musical contributions of some of our regions most prominent choral composers. This popular biannual event features works by Karen P. Thomas, Robert Scandrett, Vijay Singh, Eric William Barnum, Michael Young, Lorri Kristin Froggt, John David Earnest, and others, as well as premieres of several works written especially for Opus 7. We also extend our reach northward to include works by British Columbia composers Imant Raminsh, Stephen Chatman, and R. Murray Schafer. And we continue cultivating the next generation of choral composers through our annual Student Choral Composition Awards. Join Opus 7s composer-in-residence John Muehleisen for a pre-concert lecture to hear the composers discuss their works.
