Autumn Holiday Supper
Chef Katie Leaird of Whisk Cooking School is on sabbatical training in NY and Italy, so she is partnering with the women of Grace Hearth to bring you a seasonal menu for the holiday!
Please join us for a beautiful evening of inspiration, instruction and delicious Autumn food on Saturday, December 7th at Hayes Valley Bakeworks in SF from 5:00pm to 7:30pm.
We will greet you with a Bosc pear rosemary mocktail and butternut squash/tahini/date crostini. During the course of the evening we will use demos and hands on instruction to cook a fabulous three course meal together (vegetarian and omnivore options). Students will learn how to properly notch delicious little gnocchi pillows, how to brown butter and fry sage leaves, how to wrangle kale into an array of wholesome salads and how to effortlessly create a perfectly flaky pie crust that can hold a variety of sweet and unique fillings.
At the end of the class we will sit together and enjoy the dinner we made. This is sure to be a joy-filled evening, guaranteed to light your culinary fire for the holidays ahead! All recipes will be shared.
*pan-fried pumpkin gnocchi with brown butter sage sauce (and chicken apple sausage meatballs)
*seared kale salad with roasted root vegetables
*various pies: pippin apple, heirloom maple bean, cranberry pear, persimmon custard
