Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca - Serenata Folklorica
Serenata Folklorica will be a night to remember. Get transported to a colorful traditional night of Mexican Romantic Songs during the Fall where the moon and the stars align themselves to remind you of the change of weather and the change of colors. Listen to the songs of old Mexico , from Pre-Columbian indigenous drums, to the European, African and South American influences.  Whether music that tells a story about a celebration, ceremony or daily ritual they are a colorful slice of the flavor of Mexico .

Ballet Folklorico Mexico Azteca is a performing dance company founded by Amy Navarrete in Burbank, California in 1987. Mexico Azteca has four groups ranging from 2 to 25 years old.  Skill level include advanced young adults, intermediate, advanced juniors, and beginner levels.
A positive approach to this art form empowers members with knowledge and pride of their heritage. By encouraging parental participation as a formula for success, the children are taught COMMITMENT, SELF-DISCIPLINE and TEAM SPIRIT.
A common theme found in the foundation of the organization is communication. It is through this concept that all relationships succeed and prosper and that the shows presented by Mexico Azteca have earned the group local acclaim as well as a positive reputation that precedes them.  A typical day for the dancers includes warm-up exercises, technical step, training, composition and creative expression exercises. And most important of allFUN!!!

Mexico Azteca has the distinction of being the Eva Longoria folklorico dance company. In addition to Mario Lopez, Edward James Olmos, and Jenny Rivera's  Folklorico experience all of them have shared the stage with them. BFMA has placed First Place in the Burbank on Parade the last 7 years.
