Celebrity Bartending Fundraising Event for Stockings with Care
New York's television and theatrical celebrities will take their place behind the bar at the annual "Stockings with Care Celebrity Bartending Night" in New York City on Tuesday, November 19th at Hudson Station Bar and Grill (440 Ninth Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets) from 7pm to 11pm to raise money for the not-for-profit organization.  Stockings with Care provides holiday gifts for children whose families live in homeless shelters or are in jeopardy of becoming homeless.  

Bartending celebrities scheduled to appear include: Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal, Catch Me If You Can, Graceland, Les Miserables), Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order, Smash, Rent), Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos), Ben Rappaport (The Good Wife, Outsourced), Gina Tognoni (One Life to Live, Guiding Light), Carrie Preston (True Blood, The Good Wife), Matthew Rhys(The Americans, Brothers and Sisters), David Alan Basche(The Exes),  Phil Burke (Hell on Wheels), Danny Pino (Law and Order, Cold Case), Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Man of Steele), Marc Menchaca (Homeland, Generation Kill), Susan Misner (The Americans, Nashville), Annet Mahendru(The Americans),  Adam Ferrara (Nurse Jackie, Rescue Me), {Matt McGorry, Alysia Reiner, Michelle Hurst, Maria Dizzia,Selenis Levya, Lea Delaria, Dasha Polanco, Connie Shulman, Michelle Hurst(Orange is the New Black)}, Stephen Wallem (Nurse Jackie), Kate Shindle (former Miss America, Legally Blonde, Wonderland), Austin Peck and Terri Conn (One Life to Live, As The World Turns),  Martha Byrne(As the World Turns), Ilene Kristin(One Life to Live), and from the upcoming JJ Abrams series Believe, Arian Moayed(Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo(Tony Nominee), The Following) and Omar Metwally(Tony Nominee).  More names to be announced.   Talent subject to change.

Please note that you must be 21 or over to attend.

There will also be a silent auction and raffle. All monies raised from this event will support Stockings with Care's 2013 Holiday Drive.  A $20 cover will be charged in advance and $30 at the door and all tips raised by the celebrity bartenders will be donated to Stockings with Care.  Tickets be purchased for a further discount in advance via the Stockings with Care website at www.stockingswithcare.org or

ABOUT STOCKINGS WITH CARE:  Celebrating its 22nd anniversary, Stockings with Care (SWC) was created by casting director Rosalie Joseph and producer Tom Fontana. SWC grants the gift wishes of children while preserving the dignity of parents and caregivers.  SWC works with various agencies that help families in crisis.  The children make their wish lists, and social workers provide SWC with the name, gender and age of each child along with their wishes.  Individual donors (aka "Santas"), corporations and a small army of volunteers come together to purchase and wrap the gifts.  They are then delivered anonymously to the parents before the holidays, ensuring dignity and creating holiday magic.  Last year over 2,000 children woke up to a miracle on Christmas morning.   Since its inception in 1992, over 40,000 children have benefited from Stockings with Care.

This year's Holiday Drive will take place the weekend of December 12th  15th.
