Dia de los Muertos- at Offbeat Brewing Company
Sat. Nov. 2nd from 3pm - 8:30pm. Hands-on activities, bands The Letter Kale, Gnats in White Satin, Muscle Beech, Nilbog from 3-6:00pm. 6:30-8:30pm DJ MoTown and grooving to the tunes.
Join us for all-day-fun at Offbeat Brewing Co. to benefit exhibitions and 'artist in schools' supplies at the Escondido Municipal Gallery. Enjoy an afternoon of art, music, and tasting creative craft concoctions like "Girafficopter" and an evening of dancing fun. Suggested donation of $20 includes limited special edition "Dia de los Muertos" taster glass featuring art work by local artist Mando Padilla.
All ages will enjoy the hands on activities from 3 6pm including sugar skull decorating, skeleton cakewalk, raffles for cigar box purses, salsa tasting, Dia de los Muertos face painting, and a soda bar with EscoGelato. Bring your items for the onsite Offrenda building with Daniel F. Martinez and enjoy yummy street tacos. Local bands include Muscle Beech, The Letter Kale, Gnats in White Satin(from The NAT), and Nilbog. Raffle tickets, beer and food sales all benefit the Municipal Gallery! Your donation keeps the gallery in art supplies for the High School Student exhibition in April and the smART Fridays 'artist in schools' program starting in January.
About Offbeat the brewery was started by two Escondido folks, Tom and Sara Garcia. Tom worked for years at Stone Brewery as a chemist beer maker (and you will find Stone guys after work filling up the tasting room at Offbeat). How does Offbeat feel about artists?
