Journeys: Stories of the Things that Connect Us
Our world is filled with both trash and treasures. While trash accumulates and threatens to overwhelm us, the treasures we possess are too often forgotten.
So, what makes them treasures?
The stories we tell about them. Whether a baseball mitt from the second grade, a button from a grandmother's collection or a paper crane from Hiroshima, each item we treasure is imbued with memories of times, of people, of places of the stuff of our lives.
Join us for this edition of Journeys, a chance to hear and tell some of the stories behind these treasures, recounted by a powerful array of storytellers. In the process you'll have a chance to sip tea, learn some new skills and find the stories behind the treasures in your own life.
