Laura Kastner, Ph.D. is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Washington and a nationally recognized expert on teen behavior and development. She is the author of "The Seven-Year Stretch: How Families Work Together to Grow Through Adolescence" and "The Launching Years: Strategies for Parenting from Senior Year to College Life", both with co-author Jennifer F. Wyatt. In 2003, Dr. Kastner was elected "Psychologist of the Year" by the Washington State Psychology Association.
