"The Only" by Leo McElroy
A play that focuses on the emotionally-charged relationship between a new playwright and a self-styled genius producer/director will have its world premiere at Sacramento's Theater One.
The play is written and directed by Leo McElroy, a Sacramento playwright whose works have won numerous awards, including two Elly Awards for "Best New Work."
"The clash between writer and director is a classic show-business story," says McElroy, "And when it becomes a war, it affects everyone from the cast and crew to the audience. I've been on both ends of the battle, and I can say from experience that this is a war that no one ever really wins."
