Theatre Black Dog's First Annual Playwrights Festival 2013
October 17th, 18th,19th,and 20th  at The Black Dog Arts Café, Snoqualmie,WA.

The Black Dog Arts Cafe',8062 Railroad Ave.SE. is located in historical downtown Snoqualmie, across from the train depot.

The Black Dog Arts Café is a thriving restaurant, known for its handcrafted Mexican Cuisine, a hub for music and the arts and evenings of live music and entertainment. It is also the home of Theatre Black Dog.

Thursday, October 17th, will feature the work of Susan Bradford, Barbara Bryan, Cristie Coffing,and Roland Carette
Meyers. Dinner is available 6-8pm, a separate purchase from the plays. Beverages and desserts will be available for purchase.


Friday night, October 18th at 8pm, features the work of Roland Carette Meyers, Bob de Dea, and Katie Kuntz.
Dinner is available 6-8pm, a separate purchase from the plays. Beverages and desserts will also be available for purchase.


Saturday night, the 19th at 8pm, features the work of Theatre Black Dog members and friends, Susan Bradford,
Cristie Coffing, L.E.Cornelison, Emmett Michie, and Bruce
Stewart. Dinner is available 6-8pm, a separate purchase
from the plays. Beverages and dessert will also be available for purchase.


Sunday, October 20th at 5pm, Theatre Black Dog proudly
presents a Staged Reading of Joan Fiset's, The Long Road Home-after war.


The Long Road Home-after war, is a testimony to the legacy and aftermath of war. The performance will incorporate her short plays in tandem with readings from her manuscript, Washing Clothes in Moon light, War Stories of Xuan Ngoc Nguyen,  a book recommended she write by Pulitzer Prize winning, Yusef Komunyakaa.  Xuan appeared in Barbara Sonneborn's award winning documentary, Regret to Inform. No dinner served this night.Beverages and dessert available to purchase before and after the Staged Reading.


Theatre Black Dog is a Fringe Theatre, founded in 1996 by
a dedicated group of actors and friends. Their goal is to
work with the beginner to the professional actor in a
creatively inspired atmosphere. The group's focus is on the works of the great and classic playwrights. Last year they performed, Sam Shepard's, Simpatico,and Neil Simon's, California Suite.


The Playwrights Festival will have a Best of Fest Encore of four selected plays two nights in January 2014.


James Holmes-Pohle, began his work with Theatre Black Dog  recently graduating from the William Espers Studio in New York. See him back performing in Theatre Black Dog's first Annual Playwrights Festival.
