"There are many reasons to eat. In a city where most of our meals are eaten quickly or on-the-go, Supper Club is a space to reconnect with the many pleasures surrounding food. It is a gathering of people, conversation, and great food, inspired by the joy of bringing nature's abundance to the table. My endeavor is to create a space where you can delight in all the pleasures of eating: to steep yourself in the process of sharing food."
About the chef: Hannah began creating in the kitchen as soon as she was tall enough to see over the counter. Her first E-Z Bake oven became a way for her to (quite literally) enjoy the sweet things in life. After turning down an offer to bake cupcakes professionally in NYC, she reconsidered her relationship to food. Food has always been a way for folks to share and connect; however, modern life distances us from the source of our own nourishment. For many people meals are often eaten quickly or on-the-go, and far from the source. Hannah strives to reconnect people with the many pleasures of cooking, eating and sharing food while also bringing people closer to the source of it. Her 18 years of experience in the kitchen and restaurants, and passion for Ayurveda, organic gardening, seasonal eating and locally grown food led her to create Grow Your Self. Inspired by the delight she sees in people who eat good food, Hannah seeks to nurture that experience through her SupperClub and cooking workshops. Ultimately, she strives to empower people to heal themselves through intuitive cooking and eating locally grown food while creating human connection.
