Love and loss are interwoven throughout Jewish texts and traditions: The Song of Songs, David and Absalom, Naomi and Ruth. To these themes and stories we've added songs ancient and modern, folk music of the shtetl and Diaspora, all leavened with riddles, humor, and a dash of the unexpected. Once again we are collaborating with audience favorite, the internationally known klezmer trio Veretski Pass.|
THE CHORAL ARTISTS
SFCA has premiered over 230 works and is the winner of the 2012 ASCAP/Chorus America Award for Adventurous Programming, confirming its reputation for eclectic programming and stunning performances of music spanning 600 years. The ensemble cultivates innovative collaborations and has performed with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, The Alexander String Quartet, Veretski Pass, Composers Inc., and The Whole Noyse.
