Goat Education Day 2013
Goat Education Day 2013, hosted by the North Valley Dairy Goat Association, offers over 40 classes in a day long event of all things to do with Meat and Dairy Goats. Classes offered from novice to professional classes, with instructors from U.C. Davis, CSU-Chico, CAHFS, veterinarians and industry professionals. Special guest speakers this year all the way to California from Louisiana State University, we welcome Dr. Frank Pinkerton "The Goat Man" and Dr. Ken McMillin.
Youth classes are offered every hour of the day from Goat BLING and Halter Making to the California State Quality Assurance and Ethics class.
Don't miss prime vendors, an amazing raffle and, holding hands with our sister organization the Northern California Meat Goat Association, the Special Reserve Meat and Milker Goat Pen Sale which will be going on the entire day (no cost to attend sale, but cost to attend classes).
A few classes are capped specifically the Crafting Aged Cheese on the Farm (cap at 50), Beginning Soap by Heino (cap at 20), Advanced Soap by Heino (cap at 20) and Beginning Soap and Molds (cap at 20). If you wish to attend these classes, please contact Beth at 530-347-7376 to secure your place.
