Atish Mukhopadhyay of Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the very few sarod virtuosos from the younger generation of Hindustani (North Indian) classical musicians. An avid scholar of traditional and infrequently played ragas (melodic frameworks), he has performed to high critical acclaim throughout India.
