Beloved "expertise expert," the humorist John Hodgman speaks about his new book, More Information Than You Require (Dutton), a comprehensive almanac of madeup "facts" about the past, the future, gambling and about elections (among other things). He appears regularly on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as the show's resident expert and also as the PC in the Apple computer ads. John Hodgman will be joined by singer/songwriter Jonathan Coulton, whose projects include "Thing a Week," in which he released a song a week via his Internet podcast. Coulton wrote the theme song for Johns last book tour, for The Areas of My Expertise. $5 tickets are available at Elliott Bay (206.624.6600) from October 18 or via www.brownpapertickets.com.
