First Class
Richard Hugo House Seattle, WA
Richard Hugo House proudly presents David Wagoner's play, "First Class." The great Seattle poet unveils his one-man show about the Pulitzer prize-winning poet, Theodore Roethke. Seattle-born actor, John Aylward, long a presence on the Seattle theater scene and now a star of "ER," "The West Wing," and "Nip/Tuck," will play the great poet. In the play, Roethke shows a virtuoso knowledge of language as he teaches a class of young poets, and then struggles himself to write a poem.
Note: All who come to the Saturday performance are invited to celebrate afterwards with David Wagoner and John Aylward.
