2013 NW GRAD Nation Regional Summit
NW GradNation Regional Summit
The America's Promise Alliance will launch the Community GradNation Summit Series in 2013, a signature initiative of the Alma J. Powell Community Action Fund. America's Promise will sponsor 100 summits across the country in the next three years starting with 15 summits in 2013. These summits will accelerate a powerful and sustained locally driven national movement to meet the Grad Nation goal of a 90% high school graduation rate by 2020.
The ultimate measure of success for this initiative will be the communities' leveraging of these events for greater awareness, engagement, coordinated and sustained action, and ultimately greater impact and outcomes for their young people. Additional goals of the Summits include:

* Facilitate the creation of local metrics and goals to chart progress.
* Create opportunities for national partners to share their resources, tools, and expertise.
* Sustain a model using knowledge, tools and resources provided by America's Promise.
* Broaden the network for continuous connection, sharing, and learning.
