Sunset Dinner with Parish Hall
When we first met the team behind Williamsburg's Parish Hall, we knew we had found kindred spirits.  These folks are as much stewards of the land, cultivating their own Goatfell Farm between the Catskills and the Hudson Valley, as they are stewards of culinary excellence.  And just as they build the soil on their plot of farmland, so, too are they building a rich regional culture of New York State cuisine.  Plus, we've never met chefs who smile this much!  Seriously, there is no kinder, more relaxed restaurant team than these lovelies, and we relish the opportunity to hang with them.

So we couldn't really be more excited than we are for our upcoming supper with Chef Evan Hanczor and restaurateur George Weld at our flagship rooftop farm in LIC, Queens.  Guests will be greeted with an aperitivo to enjoy while touring the rooftop, meeting the chickens and taking in the views.  As the sun begins to dip below the Manhattan skyline, we will adjourn at our reclaimed white oak communal table where Evan and team will serve an unforgettable lantern lit meal.

If you've never had the opportunity to check out Parish Hall's incredible food, you're missing out.  This is NY State soul food: using seasonal, local products, Chef Evan serves up fare that will leave you feeling full yet revitalized.  His deep respect for the ingredients and lighthearted, playful touch yield clean, vivid flavors in bold new contexts.  The epitome of farm-to-table cuisine, we're bringing the table to the farm for this convivial late-summer supper.

ABOUT EVAN HANCZOR:
Although Evan Hanczor never envisioned becoming a chef, food played a pivotal role in his childhood and early adult life. He spent summers strawberry picking and cooking with his family in Florida and experienced the agricultural abundance of a new home in Redding, Connecticut.  Hanczor made a bold move to New York City in 2009, working at Locanda Verde before nabbing a spot at Brooklyn's Egg. Two years spent with Egg's ownerNorth Carolina native George Weldexposed him to the bounty of Southern cooking, a style he soon mastered.  In 2012, Weld and Hanczor developed a new project, Parish Hall, where the menu focuses on Northeastern regional cuisineand the Northeastern community. Hanczor and his team design their menu with a holistic approach to sustainability, taking into account farm labor, community building, local agriculture, environmental responsibility, and staffing. In 2013, Hanczor was named 2013 StarChefs.com Rising Star Sustainability Chef.

ABOUT SINGLECUT BREWERY:
SingleCut is a NYC-oriented brewery brewed in Astoria. Their self-distribution ensures that a keg of this small-production brew is always at its freshest.  The fresher a beer is when served, the higher its quality will be, and the more vivid its hop flavor and aroma. SingleCut aims to provide New Yorkers with a beer that they can call their own, and enjoy at its peak.
