This political biography tells the story of Mayor Ed Koch of New York, who died last year. A social liberal, a fiscal conservative, a reformer, and, above all, a political maverick Koch governed the City of New York at the depths of its financial distress and managed to restore its solvency. In the process, however, he made many enemies. This documentary film, which contains many introspective comments by Koch about himself, also touches upon the persistent and unresolved innuendos concerning his sexual orientation. This is the film that was released in New York City and elsewhere, only a few days after his death.
