Where Opera meets Broadway and Neapolitan Music
Stephen DeCesare is an accomplished composer and performer with a passion for sacred music and musical theatre. He has over 900 compositions in his musical catalog which include religious songs, a Requiem Mass, orchestral pieces, and musicals. He has enjoyed national and international success with many of his compositions have had many performances in theatres across the U.S.A and Europe.On May 1st 2011, Stephen was honored by conducting his Mass of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge MA on a worldwide EWTN telecast for the beatification of John Paul II.
Dr. Frederic Scheff : is delighted to be with you today making music for you with Stephen and Scott. Fred has been working as a singer in Rhode Island for over twenty five years. Upcoming performances include a concert version of Steven Jobe's opera Melusine. Recent appearances include performances of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables with Ocean State Theater Company. Also concerts in Providence and Newport RI, Brooklyn NY, and Kansas City KS as well as debuts with the RI Wind Ensemble and Music on the Hlll.
Scott Morency: has been involved with local Theatre in Rhode Island for over 20 years.He is currently President of Academy Players and Music Director for St. Francis Xavier Church in East Providence. Scott actually had his start with Music Directing at City Nights Dinner Theatre with David and Beth almost 20 years ago! He was also Assistant Conductor for the benediction Mass of Pope John Paul II which was aired live on EWTN on May 1, 2011.
