Diane Bish "First Lady of the Organ" In Concert
Diane Bish virtuoso organist and twenty-five year host of "The Joy of Music" television program aired locally on the EWTN television, will return to Philadelphia after nearly a decade to perform "in concert" on Trinity Memorial's 96 rank Allen Digital Organ.
Diane Bish is the most visible and influential classical organist performing today. Concert and recording artist, composer, conductor, and international television personality, Diane Bish has displayed her dazzling virtuosity and unique showmanship the world over to international acclaim. Her performances have been hailed by critics as stunning, virtuoso, fiery, and astonishing. Miss Bish's unparalleled achievements as a young performer gave her the credibility and determination to launch The Joy of Music international television series as a platform for awareness and appreciation of 'the king of instruments," offering viewers enriching performances of classical and sacred music. This tremendous outreach to the general public on behalf of the organ as well as her longevity as a leading recitalist distinguishes Miss Bish in the world of music.
Trinity Memorial Church is a popular Philadelphia concert venue, frequently hosting performances as diverse as the classical music of Astral Artists and Arab music presented by Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture. Performances are held in the Trinity's worship hall, known for its outstanding concert acoustics and its architectural beauty.
