| Description |
Join us this fall at Intersection For the Arts!
No human being is safe when a demon cat arrives to save his home from pollution and waste. Man and animal must learn to work together if nature is to be saved. This modern folk tale combines clowning and commedia with magic and lore to spin a delightfully rustic play for students and families!
El Gato Theatre was founded with the purpose of creating the kind of theatre that we wanted to see and hand down to the next generation.
We believe all audiences young and adult have the right to see a play for what it should be: a living breathing story, present in real time, engaging the senses and the imagination, not striving to resemble a television show or a movie.
Mining the world for forgotten stories and infusing them with a modern message, weaving them with an absurd sense of theatrical reality, and leaving the rest to the imagination of our audiences is the cornerstone of our work.
