Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Product Declarations | The Next Level of Transparency

This program is designed to introduce designers and specifiers to the concept and application of Life Cycle Assessment. LCA is gaining importance as a sustainability tool for practicing design professionals. LEED Version 4.0 has adopted LCA language into material resource credit categories.
During the course of the seminar, we will:
Talk about the need to reduce the impact of buildings on the environment
Evaluate how LCA can be used as a tool for product selection in the building industry
Enable participants to interpret, use and apply environmental labels, including Environmental Product Declaration's (EPD)
At its conclusion attendees will understand the value the tools LCA and EPD's bring to the building industry.
Attendees receive AIA, GBCI and/or IDCEC Credits for Attending!
