International House and the Brazilian Cultural Center present Barbatuques
Assembly Hall at International House Chicago, IL
Barbatuques defies boundaries by combining Afro-Brazilian chants, body drumming, stomping feet, video montage and pulsating rhythms to create a visual and auditory feast. Join founder Fernando Barba and his 14 member "body-band" as they celebrate their North American debut in Chicago.
Visit www.chicagotap.org for pictures and video of this amazing group.
Barbatuques will be joined by BAM!, one of Chicago's premiere tap and percussive dance ensembles.
This event is presented by the Brazilian Cultural Center of Chicago and the International House at the University of Chicago.
