Juan Antonio de los Angeles Austin / Mexico
De los Angeles is a fine troubadour whose work is based on the legacy of the great songwriters of Latin America as Atahualpa Yupanqui and Victor Jara. Because of his music he has been recognized as a reference of the social consciousness song in Austin, accompanied with his guitar and his partner Ana Cantu supports him in the rhythm section using traditional instruments like the Bombo Legüero of Argentina among other percussion instruments. In addition to his musical work and because of the quality of his voice, Juan Antonio produced for several years a radio program called "Formas en el Aire" on KOOP community radio. His music has been used in documentaries and on theater plays.
Juan Solorzano Nicaragua Juan Solorzano is one of the young songwriters most committed with the contemporary Nicaraguan song. He is a researcher and collector of national folklore. As a songwriter, he has a special sensibility that shows in his songs and sets the north for this 21th century troubadour. Solorzano fuses different rhythms central and southern Nicaragua with more contemporary music. Juan Solorzano is a burst of energy on stage and cleverly uses the traditional humor of Nicaraguan folklore. http://www.juansolorzano.com.ni/
