| Description |
(Melissa Young, Mark Dworkin, USA, 2008, 72 minutes) As we face climate change, rising energy costs, and health concerns, regions need to produce more of their own food and grow crops more responsibly and sustainably. Luckily, a remarkable thing is happening in the fields and orchards of the Pacific Northwest. Family farmers are making a comeback, and theyre changing things. These small farms are growing healthier food much of it organic and producing more food per acre while using less energy and water than factory farms. Celebrating smart growing and healthy eating, Good Food introduces us to the farmers, ranchers, co-ops, stores, and restaurants in Washington and Oregon that are leading the nation in creating a new food system. This lively documentary inspires a new relationship with the food we eat and the land around us. Filmmakers and farmers scheduled to attend.
