"Lysistrata - the sex strike" was created by Germaine Greer, the noted feminist author, from Aristophanes' play shortly before the end of the Vietnam War. In 1999, Phil Willmott adapted if for stage with additional dialogue for The Steam Industry in 1999.
This inventive script uses graphic language. It is for Mature Audiences only. There is a bar open and operating in the same room as the performance before, during and after the show.
Verse and Vodka shows are performed with scripts in hand and actors in the midst of the audience. The house and bar are open from an hour before to an hour after the performance, so come relax before the play and stay afterwards to talk about it with the cast. House opens at 7pm, Curtain at 8pm.
