An Evening of Food and Conversation at Lindencroft Farm
On September 14th, 2013, join Chef Sean Baker of Gather Restaurant in Berkeley, and Linda & Steven Butler of Lindencroft Farm in Ben Lomond, for a true farm-to-table experience. Beyond simply a farm dinner, this is an opportunity to share in the relationship between farmer and chef, to experience the journey from soil to plate, and to learn first-hand the way the farm influences and shapes the restaurant menu. Walk the land, enjoy a feast, and participate in a dialog about the connection between farm and table.
Start with bites from the garden and Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing organic ales in the ridge-top garden, where hops are grown especially for the brewery. Stroll on to the hillside farm for an extensive guided tour, more snacks, and a sampling of wine from nearby Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyards. Finally, to the farmhouse for an intimate, 4-course feast, paired with local wines, featuring the farm's produce and Chef Sean's "cooking with fire and soil". After dinner, linger for a round-table discussion accompanied by small-batch handmade spirits.
