The belief that a group of men, with the help of God, can do anything certainly has found wings within the hearts of Iron Horse members, Tony Robertson (mandolin,) Vance Henry (guitar,) Ricky Rogers (bass,) and Anthony Richardson (banjo.) Their vision and talent for producing a distinctive interpretation of bluegrass standards as well as crossover standards has caused fans, peers, musical engineers, and recording labels alike to agree that these guys are outside of the box of restraints and boundaries. Born out of the fertile Asheville Bluegrass scene, Jon Stickley has emerged as one of the nation's top flatpicking guitarists. He has worked with many local artists including Jeff Sipe, Shannon Whitworth, The Biscuit Burners, Taylor Martin, and Town Mountain. Stickley's first solo album, Lions, was featured in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. The Jon Stickley Trio featuresStickley on acoustic guitar and vocals, Lyndsay Pruett (Futureman) on fiddle, and Ryan Oslance (Ahleuchatistas) on drums. The trio combines the speed and intensity of bluegrass with rhythms of jazz, hip-hop, and rock.
Mountain Feist is a groove oriented and high energy progressive bluegrass band, inspired by traditional bluegrass and shaped by music from around the world. The band plays a fast paced, interactive show supported by tight four part harmonies, instrumental features and an eclectic repertoire of original music as well as fresh covered material.
