99 Stock Productions proudly closes their explosive first season with world premiere production of HITCHER. This interdisciplinary theatrical adaptation brings to life the bizarre and harrowing unproduced screenplay treatment of rock legend Jim Morrison of The Doors. Through the utilization of devised movement, unique multimedia, and brand spanking new live music from San Francisco based band dinnerwiththekids (DWTK), HITCHER blends together rock concert, performance art, cinema, and sound into an unforgettable evening of theatre.
Writer and director Alex Peri presents us with a re-imagining of Morrison's story about Billy, a young American hitchhiker with only one plan: to somehow find a way back to the woman he loves, a whore he met in Mexico. As he drifts down the highway, the wind of the desert night tells the tale of his loneliness and sings a song of blood.
