"Adult Bedtime Stories" w/Chuck Palahniuk, Chelsea Cain & Monica Drake
Boswell Book Company and the UWM Bookstore are excited to present a very special event featuring cult icon novelist Chuck Palahniuk.
And when we say "special event," we mean special: in addition to the usual Chuck-directed fun (trivia & prizes, toys, other shenanigans), he will be joined by fellow writers Chelsea Cain and Monica Drake, each with their own dark-humored visions. In keeping with the theme, attendees are encouraged to wear their best sleepwear and bring a pillow or stuffed animal to keep them feeling safe from the monsters that might be lurking in the shadows.
In addition to getting a chance at winning a special (possibly disturbing) prize, each ticket* includes a pre-signed copy of Chuck's latest novel, DOOMED**. This follow-up to DAMNED continues the adventures of Madison Spencer, a very overweight, very snarky, and very dead, thirteen-year-old girl. This time, instead of being trapped in Hell, she's trapped on Earth, or as it's known in the afterlife: Purgatory.
Chuck Palahniuk's twelve best-selling novels and two works of nonfiction have sold more than five million copies in the United States. They include Fight Club (made into a David Fincher movie of the same name, starring Edward Norton and Brad Pitt), Haunted (included the short story, "Guts," which caused numerous faintings at live events), Survivor, Invisible Monsters, and the acclaimed essay collection, Stranger Than Fiction. He currently lives in the Pacific Northwest with his partner and their two dogs.

**In order to have a long, fantastically rich event, and save you the trouble of waiting in line for hours, Chuck will be pre-signing books. There is no post-event signing for this event.
