Loving Fathers
EXIT Theatre San Francisco, CA
A dark, surrealistic comedy about two young gay men who lust after their own fathers and are lovers themselves. Written with humor, guts, and poetic sensitivity, it is meant to entertain, disturb, and challenge. Not for the prudish or judgmental. Brilliant!! Fast paced, complex characters, exceptionally memorable lines. Refreshing change from the spoon fed monotony of most modern plays. Left us talking for days after .- Fringe audience member If an hours worth of fangs, claws, venom and seduction is your favorite dish, this is the play for you. George Heymont, My Cultural Landscape. Joe Besecker has been Best of Fringe before and once again knocks it out of the park. Wonderful characterizations and deft handling of a fascinating subject. He has an amazing ear. Playwrights in particular should see this play twice -- once to follow the intriguing and perfectly structured story, a second time to luxuriate in his language and sense of rhythm.
