on the rocks

Studio250 @ Off-Market Theaters
San Francisco, CA

Ever notice that love is a four-letter word? Why is a word representing joy and happiness sometimes more of a curse than a blessing?

A funny and touching new play, ON THE ROCKS follows the journey of four people who are all trying to answer the same question and end up discovering who they are along the way.

The story unfolds over the course of one evening as Mia and Rene, best friends and coworkers, meet in a cafe for a final farewell before Mia leaves for grad school the following morning. On the same night, Greg and David are two strangers who accidentally meet at a bar and discover they have more in common than they think. As the night progresses, we see exactly how all four lives intersect and the conflict each character must face in order to move forward with his or her life. Laughter is the best medicine, and ON THE ROCKS reminds us that whether we are a rock musician, a lawyer or a Wall Street businesswoman, having a broken heart doesn't make us broken...it just makes us human.

* A feedback session with complimentary refreshments will occur immediately following the performance...can you say FREE BOOZE?? *
