Called "the world's reigning male chorus" by The New Yorker magazine, and namedEnsemble of the Year by Musical America in 2008, the GRAMMY award winning ensemble Chanticleer celebrated its 35th anniversary in the 2012-13 season during which it performed more than 100 concerts in 29 of the United States, in Europe, and in the Asia/Pacific region. Chanticleer's program at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph is entitled "La Serenissima: The Glory of Renaissance Venice," and features selections ranging from intimate chamber works to grandly celebratory double chorus works for twelve individual voice parts. This concert of glorious music, performed by one of the world's premier ensembles in the stunning setting and acoustic of the Cathedral, promises to be an unforgettable experience.
