Harvest of Voices kicks off the festivities on Thursday evening, September 26, with a cornucopia of prose and poetry presented by Delta County wordsmiths. This year's lineup includes a cowboy poet, an award-winning outdoor journalist, and a rising star still in her teens.
"This is one of the two times during the year when our local writers get showcased," explains Annette Pretorius of the Blue Sage Center for the Arts. "Harvest of Voices is one of our most popular events. I love seeing all the support for these writers."
A joint effort by the Blue Sage and Delta County Libraries, Harvest of Voices always draws standing-room-only crowds. "This year we're trying something new," says Laura Lee Yates from the Paonia Library. "You can make your donation beforehand at the Blue Sage or online and choose a reserved seat."
Don't miss this great evening of story and verse, which begins at 7:30pm at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts on Grand Avenue. This year's Mistresses of Ceremonies are Crawford authors Rita Clagett and Marla Bishop. For more information, visit www.bluesage.org
