GAP XPERIENCE - LIVE AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES
GapXperience is made up of a core of musicians who were baptized into the Gospel, funk, rock and country musical influences that gave birth to the legendary group "The Gap Band" (Ronnie, Charles and the late Robert Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma). Prior to uniting with the Gap Band, many of the band members had grown up with similar influences in their own musical journeys. These influences were as diverse as the geographical locations that the musicians hailed from. Oliver Scott (a native Texan from Waco), Fred Jenkins (Chicago), Roman Johnson (Cincinnati) and Ronnie Kaufman (Los Angeles) along with long time dancer Anthony "Baby Gap" Walker (Chicago). This group wrote, recorded and toured with the Gap Band in their history making and hit making years (1979-1983). They have now merged their Gap Experience with two gifted brothers from St. Louis, Chris Black (Bass) and Darryl Black (Singer Songwriter) to form the aptly named band "GapXperience".
The band is sure to appeal to long time followers of old school funk while also providing enough contemporary production and vocal styling to appeal to a younger audience as well.
