4th Annual OSUMC Provides Banquet
Join us for the 4th annual OSUMC Provides banquet to benefit the Pure Water Access Project (PWAP) to provide effective clean water solutions. The event is an opportunity to familiarize the local and medical community about the breadth and depth of water access issues around the world.
In conjunction with The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and with the support of the Dean, Charles Lockwood, this year's fundraising banquet will be on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at Dock580. Cocktails will be served at 6:00 PM, and dinner will be served at 7:00 PM. The night will include entertainment from Artisan Jazz Trio and Ultrasound A Capella and a silent auction. Tickets are $80 per person, in recognition of the fact that 80% of the world's diseases come from waterborne illnesses.
Business Attire Appreciated!
Special Honorees: Tony Wells of the Wells Foundation, Edward Dodson of Project EAR, and David Fischer of Pack H2O
About Pure Water Access Project
Founded in 2010 at The Ohio State University by current Ohio State Medical Students, the Pure Water Access Project, Inc. (PWAP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to combating the global water crisis by using research as a tool to empower humanitarian organizations and students alike. By combining classical water filtration implementation practices along with research methodologies, PWAP is identifying cultural, social, economic, and geographical barriers to filtration efficacy in developing nations. By identifying such barriers and disseminating the knowledge to other NGO's and humanitarian organizations around the world, PWAP hopes to foster a culture of more sustainable and effective water projects.
