Master Class: A Strategic Approach to Game Design
Open Satellite Bellevue, WA
There are many ways to approach the design of a new game but not all of them give your team the same chances for success.
Geoffrey Zatkin, veteran game designer and President of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR), explores best practices in game design from the concept phase through to production. In addition to examining current approaches, this talk outlines means to optimize the development cycle by showing how to identify key elements of a game early and incorporate the use of data driven decision making in order to better maintain the high level strategic game vision. This master class is appropriate for both new and experienced game designers and game management, as well as members of the game community interested in design and production processes.
