Clean Tech Opportunities and Challenges in China
The US and China are the world's largest energy users, greenhouse gas emitters, coal users, oil importers and have the globe's largest automobile markets. Though the situation is complex, there is genuine interest and commitment in the Chinese government and private sector to address its energy and environmental challenges. Key to this commitment will be finding ways to benefit from US products, technologies, services and expertise.
Our region has a special and positive history of trade relations with China. While there are difficult challenges in doing business in China, there are pathways to success and consequent opportunities for companies in our region. The goal of this afternoon's program is to provide experience-based perspectives on how to avoid traps and succeed.
