Green Horsekeeping for Small Acreages Part 2
Join the Small Acreage Program and Shady Springs Farm owner Karin Hunt (www.shadyspringsfarm.com) for a free 2 part workshop on greening your horsekeeping practices and your pastures. Karin will share practices she's implemented at her boarding facility that will improve conditions for your horses, save time and money, and keep your property looking good. Plus, you'll be doing your part for clean water!
8/27 Part Two:
Composting & spreading manure
Footing & bedding materials
8/20 Part One (requires separate registration):
Pasture management throughout the year
Sacrifice area/winter paddock design
The Small Acreage Program, co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services Clean Water Program, will provide information, handouts, and answer landowners' questions at the workshop.
