The Younger Statesmen and Classy Pants (SF Improv Festival 2013)
Two Hilarious troupes at the 2013 SF Improv Festival. More Info to come.
The Younger Statesmen are an LA-based improv and sketch group that started working together at Skidmore College, and have since performed at festivals and schools all across the country. They lasted fifteen weeks at the iO West Cagematch, and their sketches have been featured on the home pages of Funny or Die and Rooftop Comedy. Their longform shows open with an idea generator that combines music, visual arts, and pure thought.
Daniel Burt and Chrysteena Lairamore met in 2006 while performing on Harold teams at Chicago's world famous iO Theater. After happenstance found them both living in San Francisco, they joined forces to create "Classy Pants," an improvised long-form comedy show unlike anything seen before in the Bay Area. With their rapid-fire wit, keen observations, and a healthy dose of raunch, Dan and Chrysteena craft a performance that will have you laughing so hard, you'll hardly believe it's all made up on the spot, based on an audience suggestion.
