Lear
Lear is complex, it's intricate, it's difficult. So, we've made a few changes.
Artistic Director David Blue Garrison has adapted this famously challenging script into a solid, visceral piece. With biting dialogue, a new kingdom, a stage ruled by women, and a queen at the helm, this cast of fresh faces and TAAC familiars have re imagined Shakespeare's tale of love, betrayal and how we see our own existences.
As you follow Lear into the battered world of her own making, you'll find yourself lost in the honesty of the performances, the gravity of the decisions at hand, the height of the stakes.
Forget everything you've ever learned about King Lear. TAAC's latest adaptation boasts the grit of Hamlet and the beauty of The Tempest. We've pulled out all of the stops on this one.
Join us in Lear's inconstant world. Just don't get lost.
