Description Beethoven, looking back on his life's work, considered the Piano Trio in B flat major, Op. 97, commonly known as the "Archduke" Trio, to be among his very finest creations. In fact, of all the work that Beethoven dedicated to Archduke Rudolph, it's the only piece that acquired the nobleman's title.
Come For In 2008 retired architect Martin Murray commissioned a piece of music by Philip Glass to commemorate his wife's 70th birthday. Although known as a modern and minimalist composer, the haunting and emotional melodies in Glass' "Sonata for Violin and Piano" will shatter perceptions of modern classical music as inaccessible. This concert is also part of the Grand Junction Symphony's "Chateau Chamber Concerts" series and will be repeated on March 21, 2013.
