Christian Bambara: African Dance and Movement Workshop
Links Hall Chicago, IL
This workshop, led by Burkina Faso-born Christian Bambara, will focus on the study of traditional dance from West Africa, and different ways it is made and performed in relation to rhythm, time, and space. Explore notions of African dance and choreography that draws upon traditional movements. Willing students will perform the results of their movement research at the conclusion of the workshop. The workshop showing is free and open to the public, at 5pm.
Note: Links Hall is a second floor walk-up, there is no escalator or elevator.
