The Adam Ezra Group Ramble! Year 4!
The Ramble is a free concert event, raising money for a different cause each year through corporate sponsors and donations. Not only does the Ramble feature a special Adam Ezra Group (AEG) concert, it also includes a "Pre-amble." The Pre-amble is an interactive experience involving various non-profit organizations that are on-hand to share information about their missions, events, and how people can get involved. The Pre-Amble also includes food, games, and activities, and features live music from seven other socially conscious bands on two stages. Empowering Ramble attendees with information and inspiring them to take action for a cause is the Ramble's secondary focus.
A consistent challenge in bringing together large groups of people is transportation. To address this challenge, the Ramble has fostered a partnership with a local school bus company to provide transportation to groups from all over New England. Groups of 10 people or more can buy bus tickets in advance and the Ramble arranges for a school bus to ferry each qualifying group to and from the event. Bus groups come from high schools, colleges, community organizations, private homes, and central meeting points. These buses have become emblematic of the Ramble.
This year we are proud to donate proceeds to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans (NECHV) and Veterans Matter. NECHV is a multi-dimension service and care provider dedicated to assisting Veterans who are facing or are at-risk of homelessness. The Center offers a broad array of programs and services that enable success, reintegration, meaningful employment and independent living through the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program.
Veterans Matter is an innovative, rapid response program created to get Veterans into housing immediately. For many Veterans who qualify for HUD-VASH vouchers, the only thing preventing them from crossing the literal threshold into available housing is the deposit and first/last month's rent. Veterans Matter partners with local Veterans Affairs programs, such as the NECHV, and provides those security deposits directly to the landlords, allowing Veterans to move in as soon as possible.
The Ramble is an official RallySound, Inc. event. RallySound, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit, live music event organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
