Everybody Loves Opal
In this John Patrick comedy, a cheerful, reclusive "collector" named Opal Kronkie lives in a tumbledown mansion at the edge of the municipal dump. Three con artists on the lam befriend Opal. They decide her home is the perfect hideout - and that Opal, herself, may be their ticket to riches of she buys plenty of life insurance with themselves as beneficiaries. The laughs ensue as the unsavory trio concoct elaborate schemes to ensure her demise, but they may have underestimated Opal.
