Kita y Fernanda is a look at class, immigration and womens friendships as it follows the lives of two girls growing up in the same household; one the privileged daughter of a rich Mexican family living in Texas, the other the child of an undocumented maid.
Playwright Tanya Saracho was born in Mexico and is the Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Teatro Luna: Chicago's Chicagos all Latina Theatre. Plays include Our Lady of the Underpass, Quita Mitos and Aparicion. She is at work on a project titled 27 based on 27 interviews with Latin American/Iberian women.
Directed by Ann Filmer. Starring Charin Alvarez, Belinda Cervantes, Stephanie Diaz and Suzette Mayobre.
