A NO-BUSINESS-CARDS BASH OF BRILLIANCE!
Ready for another super awesome young change-makers mixer exchanging business cards, carefully prepared stories of "what you do," your latest "world changing" venture and developing "authentic relationships" that last a Linked-In connection? HELL NO!!! Yea, we didn't think so.
We're tired of the same types of networking events, and we bet you are too. So we are doing something a wee-bit different by creating a kaleidoscope of Kodak polaroid-inducing community fun-freaking fantasticleness (not a word... until now). What the hoot suite does that mean? It means this, sweet dreamers:
1. A NO BUSINESS CARD EVENT! If we see a business card, you will be pied. For real. We want you to get to know the people, the faces, and the spirits of the incredible people around you. How will you stay in contact? We got that covered.
2. HAVE FUN and make AUTHENTIC FRIENDSHIPS with AUTHENTIC people! We want to build a community on something more than just how we can superficially help each other in our ventures, but friends, fans and mentors for life. You will leave feeling inspired that you have a kick-ass community behind you to help make a difference or at-the-very least cool people to share this crazy hydraulic low-rider called life.
WHAT YOU WILL GET? (selfish little social devils)
1. A chance to meet a mentor and/or mentee that vibes with your personality and experience.
2. We will "connect" you to ambitious young professionals in Los Angeles who have a service mindset to create an exchange of insight, feedback, inspiration and resources.
3. Food (real food, not vegetable sticks or cheese cubes), beverages (alcohol for 21+) souvenirs, prizes, and Polaroid memories.
4. Each ticket comes with one raffle ticket.
THE DETAILS:
1. Who: Mentor Matchmaker (www.mentormatchmaker.com) and Levitate (www.welevitate.com) are putting on this new-networking shindig
2. What: Duh, read above.
3. Where: NEXT SPACE CREATIVE WORKSPACE CENTER (9415 Culver Blvd Culver City, CA 90232). The most convenient parking is the giant brick structure on Cardiff between Venice and Culver - its cash only (3846 Cardiff Ave).
4. WHY?: Because you are ready for the next level of networking, which isn't really networking at all, but about something more meaningful.
5. How much?: $15 and 100% of the proceeds go to the Chase Foundation. The Chase Foundation supports the Child Life Programs at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. www.chasefoundation.org
