Jeana Paul and Juan Carlos Urena Texas/Costa Rica The duet of Jeana Paul, Texas native and Juan Carlos Urena of Costa Rica, is the perfect fusion of two worlds and two traditions. Rooted in Nacogdoches TX. divide their time between their work as professors at the University Stephen F. Austin and their musical endeavors. Their latest album "A Space of Light" is a good example of their love for Central American music and high caliber poetry, a fine work of music. This year Juan Carlos has published a book on the Latin American song called "Trovar: poetic memory of Latin American song." http://www.reverbnation.com/juancarlosandjeanaureña
Flor Urbina Nicaragua/Costa Rica Flor Urbina is a singer-songwriter who represents the traditions of two countries, her native Nicaragua and Costa Rica where she has lived in since 1979. Urbina's multi-talented career spans from being a dance education entrepreneur, to her work as an actress, choreographer, and singer-songwriter. Urbina has become a true Costa Rican TV personality for more than 13 years; one of her highlights, was the work she did as a judge on the Costa Rican version of Dancing with the Stars in 2007. Her songs fuse the Nicaraguan and Costa Rican folklore with other forms of Latin American music that she often enriches with beautiful choreographies by her dance company. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Flor-Urbina-Pagina-Oficial/201944696524732
