AUGUST MOON is a one day festival organized by Sangre de Cristo Arts & Culture that features the lives, stories, songs and art of Native Americans who are followers of the Great Creator, Jesus Christ. This festive event will take place on Saturday August 3rd on the grounds of First Baptist Church of Santa Fe (1605 Old Pecos Trail) from 11am to 9pm. There will be presentations at 3pm and 7pm in the Artist Tent by Hopi, Navajos and Pueblos who will perform Native American music and tell stories of the Creator. Native American art will also be displayed. Outside there will be food booths where visitors can enjoy both traditional Indian food and standard American favorites of Hamburgers, Hotdogs, pies, cakes and ice cream. Artists will give demonstrations of how they create baskets and pottery while there will be several opportunities to play games and just sit and chat with friends under the trees.
This is a great event for the whole family.
