The Oz Cauze Concert 5 Bands, 7 Hours of Music, Vendors & Fun for the Carroll High Gym
Paying tribute to our Cauze, our opening band will be none other than our very own Carroll High School Jazz Ensemble!
Followed by a blast from the past - Some southern style Rock - local favorite & classmates ~ Four on the Floor !
By popular demand this duo has been all over the Panhandle blending an acoustic and a bongo with a surprising twist like you have never heard unless you have heard them! Inspired by the South, the African Drums and Good Times ~ the Kyle & Karl Band !
We are just getting started - our next is our country Nashville Favorite from our own backyard - Shane Owens & The Legendary 231 South Band ! Shane has shared the stage with many of Country's top artists, including Hank Williams Jr., Lori Morgan, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Kenny Chesney, Pam Tillis, Ronnie Milsap, Billy Dean, Keith Urban, Exile and dozens of others, while touring all over the South. The tracks on Owens' Rust Records CD are the best he has done thus far. He wrote seven of the 13 tunes himself, while the remaining tracks were written by his various music industry friends.
WOW ~ we are sure you are on your feet by now, get ready to bring the house down. Many have described Kelly as "Stevie Ray Vaughn trapped in a womans body, with Janis Joplin screaming to get out" ! INCENDIARY BLUES AND MONSTER GROOVES! The Kelly Richey Band features heavy, riff-soaked blues guitar driven head first into monster funk bass lines and rock/hip hop infused backbeats. The Kelly Richey band sports a new line-up for 2013. Freekbass and Jyn Yates are coming onboard to join Kelly Richey for a powerful blues- rock/funk power trio that aims to rock the house. Kelly Richey's inimitable, incendiary guitar work and husky vocals meet up with the legendary Freekbass, one of the best funk bassist in the music world today, and female drummer Jyn Yates, a powerhouse player who lays down solid, in-the-pocket grooves that forge the backbone for Freekbass and Richey to fly on. These masterful players bring unparalleled energy and brilliant musicianship to the stage. Traversing new territory for the Kelly Richey Band will be the group's agenda as they deftly meld blues-rock and funk for a dizzyingly potent wall of sound.
We also have have vendor booths as well set up around the Civic Center to shop through out the day so we assure you, there will not be a dull moment.
